While your here why don’t you learn about my process -
-
I use Oil & cold wax medium a rich, versatile combination that brings depth, texture, and atmosphere to a painting. This slow-drying process blends the luminosity of oil paint with the matte, layered texture of wax. It allows for a richly built surface—where scraping, incising, and layering reveal hidden depths and create a sense of time embedded in the work
-
Each layer of oil & wax can take days if not weeks to cure. The process becomes one of reflection and return. This rhythm of working allows the painting to unfold gradually, with as sense of time etched into its surface over the course of time. Some paintings have 3-4 layers, others have over 20.

The process of working with oil and cold wax is both intuitive and unpredictable. Each layer conceals and reveals, with textures emerging through scraping, dissolving, or subtracting.Scraping back into the wax reveals fragments of earlier gestures—unexpected forms, echoes of colour, traces of time. The process is spontaneous, and often surprising, my paintings slowly disclose their own story beneath the surface.

Colour plays a central role in my process. I work with a deliberately limited palette, mixing all my hues by hand. This approach gives me a natural sense of harmony across the work. I enjoy the intention & organisation before the painting begins
